Two ‘green’ EEA films selected for showing at COP21

Posted by Luc Malcorps

The COP21 meeting in Paris is a key event in the global movement to adress the world’s pollution and climate challenges. According to the organizing committee, the objective of the 2015 conference is to achieve, for the first time in over 20 years of UN negotiations, a binding and universal agreement on climate, from all the nations of the world. So we are honored that two Emakina productions were selected for the special screening at this historic event.

The organisation of the Deauville Green Awards is in charge of the film programme at the Grand Palais, from 4 to 10 December, together with Solutions COP21. They selected two award-winning videos Emakina produced for the European Environment Agency.

‘Sea matters’ is a dramatic call to stop littering plastics and restore the endangered balance of ecosystems (and our own health).

The production ‘Every breath you take’ was part of the action plan of the European Environment agency to raise awareness about the persisting air quality problems the global community is facing. This is also one of the central topics on the table of the negotiations amongst the nations united in Paris.

These are exciting times. And there’s so much going on. We’re happy to add our digital drop of clean water and our fresh oxygen to this refreshing well of global resourcing!
