We Just Recovered from Emakina.BE’s Awesome Team Building

Author: Thomas Halter

Every year, a new challenge arises for Brussels’ MarCom team: after the previous edition’s success, how can this year’s Emakina.BE Team Building event live up to both legacy and expectations?

Well, we don’t quite know how, but they did it: the afternoon activity was as entertaining as it was challenging (the jury’s still out about the legality of the winning team’s victory); the dinner was excellent, the drinks were free, some of the disguises blew our minds; and the sweet shindig helped Emakinians know their teammates and colleagues better (like, waaaay better for some), because Emakinians can party like there’s no tomorrow, which has been scientifically proven on numerous occasions.

By the way, we still haven’t heard from the Nobel committee about our Bender Nobel Prize idea. But that’s not the point. The point is, everyone seems happy as fuck on the photos, and as a special correspondent for this blog, I have witnessed the whole soirée for the sake of professionalism, and I can assure you that the only frowning faces I saw were reactions to one of three things: when the buffet was empty, when the bar went from ‘open’ to ‘normal bar where you exchange goods for money’, and that moment the military was called to force the last remaining Emakinians to “please, just go home, we need to clean up and we miss our families, it seems like you’ve been here for weeks”. Or something like that, I’m a bit fuzzy on the details, but that’s the general idea.

Thanks to all involved, you were wonderful!
