Blowout Results for “Blow Out The Candle”

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

A few months ago, we launched a European campaign called “Blow Out The Candle” for Center Parcs. While preparing our entries for the Mixx Awards, I realized how efficient and addictive this viral game has been. In 20 days only, more than 110.000 players have participated and 37.000 new contacts have been garnered in the client’s database, which means an amazing opt-in rate of 33,4%. For more info on this viral game we rolled out last March, check out this previous post.

Emakina revamps AGC websites

Monday, September 10th, 2007

As you probably heard in the media, Glaverbel turned into AGC Flat Glass Europe a few days ago. On this special occasion, we developed four new websites for AGC (Asahi Glass Company) Flat Glass, the world’s leading producer of flat glass.

- Glaverbel.com has logically disappeared to become the website of AGC Flat Glass Europe (www.agc-flatglass.eu), designed in 5 different languages (French, Dutch, Russian, English and Czech). To be checked out: the webcast of the press conference unveiling the new brand identity.

- We’ve also developed the new AGC Flat Glass website (www.agc-flatglass.com) that presents the group activities at a worldwide level.

- We took care of the brand new website of AGC Europe (www.agceurope.com), an entity delivering corporate services to the sectors where AGC is active in Europe.

- And, last but not least, our team has produced the micro-website of AGC Automotive Europe (www.agcautomotive.eu) within a very, very short deadline.

After updating Glaverbel.com for years, we’re of course delighted to confirm here the long-term relationship we’ve built up with Asahi Glass Company as a whole. Each of these websites uses the emagiC CMS.Net solution to run the content management.

The Roller Parade is Back in Town

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

This year still, put on your roller blades and participate to the almost traditional hikes through the most beautiful cities in Belgium. Like Immeubles en Fête or Fête du Progrès, the Roller Parade belongs to the event-based websites we proudly update every year. Small project but very good example of the creative talent inside our studio.

VW EscapeTV 2.0: bigger, better, more interactive

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

VW EscapeTV, the first TV channel in podcasting format, is back with a major overhaul we’ve been working out for a long time.

VW EscapeTV 1.0 was a monthly magazine with regular features (people, extreme sports, cinema, video games…). In VW EscapeTV 2.0, each of these sections turns into an independent channel enjoying its own podcast feed and its own update frequency.

This new fragmentation of content goes one step further in the “Web 2.0″ philosophy and fulfil the wishes of many EscapeTV addicts who wanted to download their favourite magazine “à la carte”. Another significant improvement, inspired from video sharing websites like YouTube or Dailymotion: you can now export a sequence of VW EscapeTV to your own blog by a simple copy-paste of HTML code.

New website for SCA Packaging

Monday, July 9th, 2007

SCA Packaging is a leading provider of customer-specific packaging with strong emphasis on state-of-the art design and local service close to customer facilities. As our client wanted a new website with a strong customer focus, we’ve been asked to take care of the design, the usability and the video production for the website (development has been made by a third part company). On this project, our team had to face a double challenge: creating a brand identity from scratch while respecting the global guidelines from SCA Group as a whole. The result is available here.

Find your way in Second Life with Brussels Airlines

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

In collaboration with bluepill Group, we start today a very ambitious campaign in Second Life for Brussels Airlines. By now, you will find new interactive voting boxes installed on some twenty islands of this virtual world. These voting boxes, carefully selected by Brussels Airlines, allow you to vote for your favourite island.

Second Life

On the b.places website, you will find a list, updated in real time, of the places that have received the most votes. A direct link will take you straight to each of these destinations inside Second Life itself. You can also suggest personal favourites that you may have stumbled across in the course of your own wanderings. The ambition of b.places is to become a true guide to the “places to be” in Second Life through this user-generated content.

The interactive voting boxes will also provide you with a free HUD (heads-up display). This special window is an addition to the traditional Second Life user interface, and offers you short cuts to the islands voted for on b.places.

More and more advertisers seek to gain a foothold in virtual communities. At Emakina, we strongly believe brands must bring added value to Second Life inhabitants and not only play on the hype surrounding the parallel worlds over the Net. In the case of Brussels Airlines, speed and efficiency of service are two fundamental values of this company. Customers need to find the quickest route to their chosen destination, easily. Brussels Airlines applies this same commitment to Second Life by guiding users to the best places to visit within this immense virtual universe. B.places is positioning itself as a genuine travel agency - just like Brussels Airlines in the real world. Thanks to the cosmopolitan character of Second Life, bringing together Internet users all over the world, our client aims to attract new customers located beyond Belgian borders.

New website for BJIT

Monday, May 21st, 2007

We developed the website for BJIT, a professional association gathering up the Belgian journalists specialized in Information Technology. As a former member of BJIT, I’m of course a bit happy that Emakina brings a contribution to this unique platform in Europe. By the way, you can already register on the website for the traditional BJIT cocktail where journalists and PR people close the “season” around a glass. Hope to meet you there.
