Emakina wins three IAC Awards

Mar 19 2009

We took home three new distinctions at the American IAC Awards, the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising.

- For the second consecutive year, we received the Best Bank Rich media Online campaign award with ING bank. This time, the IAC Awards crowned our viral campaign “Web 3.0″ that promoted the ING Lion Deposit at 4%.

- The Best Health Care Website and Best Pharmaceutical Website awards were both attributed to Pfizer Europe and Quitters Arcade. Launched last September and still running in four European countries, this viral campaign is designed to help smokers to heal their addiction to tobacco by playing good old arcade games. Nice reward for one our most innovative projects in 2008.

Emakina launches Web 3.0 with LiveSite Technology

Jan 12 2009

The CES is over but we’re very excited to announce today a major technological breaktrough with the official release of LiveSite Technology. This new revolution means a new leap forward in user-generated content and will change the face of the Internet forever.

Over the last ten years, building a website has been the exclusive business of techie-techie specialists: developers, web designers, web architects etc. With LiveSite, all you need is a computer and a webcam. Just shoot your website with a camera and see the magic of interactivity in action (WYSIWYG approach: What You Shoot Is What You Get).

Invented by Emakina’s research labs, LiveSite Technology paves the way to a new explosion of online creativity and marks the birth of Web 3.0, a new Web without any technological hurdle, a Web by the people and for the people. ING bank is the first Belgian company who selected the LiveSite Technology solution to promote its ING Lion Deposit account at 4%. Check it out on www.ingliondeposit.com, it’s absolutely amazing.

Keytrade Bank customer? It’s now or never to…

Nov 17 2008

…benefit from the “members get members” (MGM) action we manage for Keytrade Bank. The deal: send an invitation to your friends and ask them to open a bank account at Keytrade Bank. For every person becoming a new customer, you and your relative receive 20 euro as reward on your respective Keytrade Bank accounts. Of course, the more new members you sponsor, the more money you cash in.

The first “MGM” wave, launched last April, was the most successful marketing campaign ever performed by our client who registered not less than 1.700 new customers for a highly competitive acquisition cost. Check out this presentation made by Thibault de Barsy, Sales & Marketing Director at Keytrade Bank, during our latest Emakina Academy:

Become A Stock Market Guru With Keytrade Bank

Sep 12 2008

Today, Keytrade Bank and Roularta launched with our help the Guru Index, a new interactive stock market based on the predictions provided by investors themselves about the evolution of the BEL 20, the Dow Jones and the euro/dollar ratio. Anyone can participate and there are some cool gifts (iPod Touch, subscriptions to Roularta magazines…) to reward each month the author of the most precise forecast. A nice example of “crowd sourcing” and a fresh way to gaug investors’ morale. In addition to the website, you can also add the Guru Index application to your Facebook profile and see its evolution in real time.

Shall you be the next guru?

Pfizer offers free 80’s Arcade Games

Sep 8 2008

Calendar and planning sometimes create funny coincidences. Two weeks ago, we launched a viral video to promote the Belgian release of Spore, probably one of the most advanced gaming experiences you can try on a computer screen. Today, we unveil QuittersArcade.com, a fantastic tribute that Pfizer offers to the classic arcade games you played in the eighties.

QuittersArcade.com consists of a free set of retro arcade computer games you can embed on your blog or your Facebook profile to challenge your friends. The three games available are all adaptations of well-known arcade games: Pack Man, Fogger and Bin-it!

You have two possibilities to play and share them: visit www.QuittersArcade.com or add the games to your personal blog by a simple copy-paste of a HTML snippet. Players can compete against each other, with a scoreboard for registered users. An “interblog” scoreboard lists the leading blogs and URLs.

In addition to your blog, you can also display the Pack-Man as a widget (application) on your Facebook profile and invite your friends to participate. The end goal is to encourage players to seek help from a doctor, reject smoking and all its paraphernalia and most importantly, to triumph over addiction.

Sporevolution: Follow The Creature…

Aug 26 2008

Spore is the new game from Will Wright, the father of the famous Sims (I’m sure you played the Sims at least once in your life). To make it short, Spore puts you in the position of God: like a demiurge, you can create and nurture a creature through different stages of evolution (cell, creature, tribe, civilization…), from microscopic to macroscopic.

As Spore is about to hit the Belgian market next week, Electronic Arts entrusted us to promote this major release with a viral campaign in social media that could trigger the curiosity of Belgian gamers and “creative” people. The video below was made with the “stop motion” technique: we assembled frame by frame the pictures of the same creature standing in a different posture. In addition to the files on Dailymotion or YouTube, you can also watch this animation full screen on www.sporevolution.be.

In real life, grafer Olivier (codename “2shy”) painted the creature on a wall located along the Brussels-Charleroi canal, not far from the… Spoorwegstraat. If you happen to hang out in the neighborhood, you can still admire this art performance “live” at this place:
