Emakina’s new website for Brussels Airlines takes flight

Posted by Luc Malcorps

The new, recently launched by the airline with the support of Emakina, is off to a good start. The fully revamped website was designed for simplicity of online services and ease of information access.

It now receives positive comments from both professionals and consumers. Emakina has been the airline’s digital partner for a decade. For this project, it managed the information architecture, design and development.

Travel Inspiration

The new website offers more than just content and easy booking, it brings the clients travel inspiration. This was an essential part of the airline’s briefing.

Xavier Lagardère, Vice President Online Retail & Distribution of Brussels Airlines: We’re happy that the fresh, clean design and simplicity reflect our service-minded and transparent attitude. And it was exciting to see that so many people in our organisation intensely participated in the beta testing. As a result, the site has become a great window for our company, supported by a strong internal buy-in and great collaboration.’

Brice Le Blévennec, CEO of Emakina comments: ‘Our approach focused on the service to the traveller, the distinctive element in the strategy of Brussels Airlines. So we put great effort in integrating content from several sources in an intuitive platform, with flight promotions, extensive destination and local airport content, tips and weather forecasts.

Positive market reaction

Brussels Airlines considers this project as a fine new step in its digital strategy, that seeks to combine customer interaction with digital tools. In this philosophy, the human element remains the key to the company’s success.

Xavier Lagardère: ‘It’s great that our guests confirm we’re making a big step forward. We received many congratulation messages and useful further improvement suggestions on Facebook and Twitter. Users welcome the new digital experience as direct, simple and to the point. And that is exactly what we wanted to achieve in our collaboration with the team of Emakina.
