Emakina wins 13 Horizon Interactive Awards, 2 Best in Category
At the 18th Horizon Interactive Awards, one of the most prestigious competitions for interactive and creative media, Emakina was honored with no less that 13 awards. The website for football team Olympique de Marseille and the video campaign for SBAB bank won ‘Best in Category’, the highest distinction in the international competition. Gold award winners include web, video and E-commerce projects for Bardahl, Courir, Courrèges, Dugas and World Press Photo.
For the annual Horizon Interactive Awards, senior professionals in digital, design, advertising and marketing each year judge over 800 entries from agencies across the world. They reward design excellence, creativity, technological innovation, relevance and efficiency, and Emakina received high honors in multiple categories, for exceptional projects executed in many markets.
OM and SBAB win ‘Best In Category’ Horizon Awards
The first top Horizon prize is for the website of football team Olympique de Marseille. The jury praised its immersive design and rich user experience. The website keeps the team’s ‘Droit au but!’ promise: it shares not only news and team information but also lets you dive in the club’s rich history and community, fan clubs and foundation.
Swedish Bank SBAB, also won the highest prize, for ‘Best Viral Video’. In team with their bold client, Emakina succeeded in an almost impossible challenge: make a video that reaches young people… promoting (boring) real estate financial services! A white horse, a half-nude comedian and a catchy hip-hop beat did the trick, scoring over 5.5 million online views. And over the summer, the house remix brought a second wave of serious beats to dance parties across the land.
Excellence in Advocacy and News
The World Press Photo Foundation connects the world to the stories that matter. Emakina took on the foundation’s challenge to build its new website around this vision and promise. The website wins two gold awards, one in the category ‘Advocacy’ and a second in ‘Website news’. The online project embraces the continuous changes in our world, and new developments in the media and technology that have transformed journalism and storytelling.

Four remarkable E-commerce websites win awards in multiple categories
The jury highlighted Emakina’s achievements in E-commerce with four winning projects, adding recognition for other achievements, from video and Short Film to categories ‘B2B Website’ and ‘Food and Beverage’.
Courrèges received gold for its cutting-edge seamless shopping experience. The fresh platform takes you into this top designer’s universe, and also offers friendly online assistance and account management. The project received two extra gold awards for ‘Short film’ and ‘Portfolio’, and a silver award in the ‘Promotional video’ category. The experience is mesmerizing: you are in a front-row seat at fabulous fashion shows and creative collaborations.
Emakina also won gold in E-commerce with the leading sneaker store Courir, for its striking and efficient design and its coherent and complementary online and in-store digital experience. The dynamic webshop shares the brand’s #sneakerspirit and welcomes you with enthusiasm to its Sneakers’ World.
Dugas is Emakina’s third golden E-commerce Horizon project, sharing its passion for exclusive French spirits on its classy e-commerce B2C/B2B website. For each product, a taste profile and a tasting note system guide the consumer in his choice. They can collect their selected products via the company’s unique delivery system, with a vast distribution network of top-of-the-range wine dealer partners. To further lift all spirits, Dugas added a second gold award, in the ‘Food and beverage website’ category.
Engine lubricant expert Bardahl brings its refined brand identity to life on its high-performance website, scoring gold in the ‘B2B website’ category and silver in E-commerce. Every web page of this platform shares Bardahl’s ‘Pleasure of caring’, and confirms its vision for a world with respect for technology, the environment, partners and customers. This website already won a handful of other awards as well, amongst them the prestigious Kentico E-commerce Website of the Year.
